Ubuntu only wallpaper and a mouse cursor is showing

Lets reset the desktop

Press Ctrl + ALT + F2 Then you will get a full screen Terminal. Login with your Username and Password.

Then execute these commands in order:

rm -r ~/.config 
rm -r ~/.compiz 
sudo restart lightdm
